Computer literacy classes are held
during the week for all students in Grades 6-8. "Hands-On" follows consistent development of
computer vocabulary, keyboard instruction, and use of the computer as an
educational tool. Students in Grades K-5 have access to classroom computers
with software that is used to supplement and reinforce basic grade level
curriculum.
The
purpose of the library is to promote literacy and to support the school
curriculum. Students come to the library weekly during regularly
scheduled library periods. This time is used for book checkout, library skills,
and other reading skills. The library is also used for student research
activities.
The
library is also available to students before and after school. Use of the
public library is also encouraged. Students must have written permission to
borrow books from the school library. The replacement cost of the book will be
charged, if a book is lost or damaged.
